Vonage - 3-way calls are faint

To use 3-Way Calling you dial your call as you normally would. When you need a third party you simply press flash or your switch hook to get a dial tone. You dial the third party. After they pick up you press flash or your switch hook again - and you’re on a 3-way.

Vonage - Having some serious quality/ connection issues…

International relocation services are essential for the company that is shifting base to a different country. Also in case of an employee being required to hire international Relocation Services for official purposes such as a job transfer will be duly compensated for the service hired by the human resource and accounts division.

I’m experiencing serious broken calls more and more frequently with 2-3 second lapses. Based on the "sticky" note regarding information to post I offer the following:
My location is St. Charles, IL 60175
My ISP is Comcast
Cable modem is a Motorola SBS120
Vonage adapter is Linksys RT31P2
Setup is: Cable modem—> Vonage adapter —> Linksys Wireless Router BEFW11S4—> PC
I believe I’m experiencing broken calls; lapses from the VoIP user end in which you do not hear them speaking all of a sudden for 2- 3 second intervals. Also hear a series of beeps initiated from my VoIP phone intermittently.
Here’s my test results:

Vonage - 3-way calls are faint - help!

Greetings:
My business recently switched to Vonage. So far, it has been a rough ride.
The current problem is a deal breaker. Unless we can resolve it, we are kicking Vonage to the curb.
We need to be able to roll calls. We have four lines and two four line phones. When we answer a call that needs to be rolled (ie, connected to someone outside of the office, a call which we listen in on) we put the call on hold, open a new line, and call the guy we need to connect to, hitting conference to connect them, then muting our line so we can hear the call but not be heard.
The issues is, while WE can hear both parties just fine, neither party on the call can hear each other very well, usually complaining that they are very faint. This MUST […]

Vonage - Caller ID Software?

i have tried callclerk in the past which is client/server. but it is too slow (client pc’s don’t get notified until the 3rd ring or so). and i don’t get names, just the number (i get the number again in place of the name - but i think that’s a vonage issue which i just haven’t got around to calling up about to have fixed). anyway, something that actually works would be great

Vonage - Unable to call Vonage Number

Help. My friends and neighbors (in Sanford NC) are unable to call my vonage phone number. When they call, they get a recording that "this number cannot be dialed." Their landlines are served by Alltel and Windsteam. One friend called Alltel and was told that "Alltel does not connect to Vonage numbers."
WTF?

Vonage - WRTP54G Issues

Just fyi, I switched from ‘Mixed mode’ to ‘G-only’. The wireless has been working fine for 2-3 days. Hard to say if that is the problem, but so far, so good.

Vonage - Network Topology Q and 16 port limitation?

Greets all!
I’m thinking of going VoIP with my new home but had 2 concerns — first is the limitation i keep reading about in the manuals of the VT2xxxx routers: "16 ports max" for chaining. Is this "real" or just boag and the tech writer not knowing anything..
Ideally - (I think) I want to do the following:
Cable Modem -> VoIP Router (VT2xxxx) -> 24 port GbE switch.
I wanted to put the VoIP router in the front so that it’s QoS would work correctly - however - the manuals say something about a 16 port limitation on "hubs". I’m not using a hub I want to use a switch — and I’m no network guru, but unlike a hub I thought a switch was smarter in directing traffic around so that packets get to-from the correct places without the rest of the network seeing it.. So based on that - […]
